The Iraqi Turkmen Front said its leader visited Qais al-Khazali, and the two discussed forming the next government and the need to adhere to the constitutional timeline.

Iraqi Turkmen Front leader Mohammed Samaan Agha paid an official visit on Sunday, 11 January 2026, to Qais al-Khazali, secretary-general of Asaib Ahl al-Haq, in Baghdad.
The meeting covered Turkmen rights in Baghdad and other provinces, the formation of the next government and the need to adhere to the constitutional timelines. A number of political and service-related issues of mutual interest were also discussed.
Both sides stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation and coordination among national forces to support stability, serve citizens and guarantee the rights of all communities.
