Sanan Ahmed Agha issues message on the Iraqi Turkmen Front's anniversary

Sanan Ahmed Agha published a message on his Facebook page congratulating the Iraqi Turkmen Front on its 31st anniversary.

In the statement, addressed to “Mr Mohammed Samaan Agha, leader of the Iraqi Turkmen Front, its members, all Turkmen in particular and the people of Iraq in general,” Agha said: “24 April 2026, the 31st anniversary of the founding of the Iraqi Turkmen Front, has humanitarian, national and patriotic significance worldwide and especially for our homeland, Iraq.”

Agha said the Iraqi Turkmen Front is, and will remain, a bulwark against reaction, extremism and internal conflict. He said this had been achieved by refusing to take part in armed internal conflict with any party, by leading on tolerance, by establishing its presence through internationally recognised documents, and by engaging with all citizens with justice and equality to secure security, safety and social welfare.

He stressed that the front prefers dialogue and compromise to conflict: “Despite facing marginalisation and ethnic cleansing, it regards civilised and rational dialogue as the most appropriate means of resolving problems and embraces the peaceful transfer of power.”

Concluding his message, he said: “I congratulate the Turkmen people and all citizens, especially defenders of human and animal rights everywhere. The Iraqi Turkmen Front's activities need to be far more comprehensive than they are now if it is to reach its goals. I wish you all good health every year.”
