Nouri al-Maliki visits Erbil
State of Law Coalition leader Nouri al-Maliki is making an official visit to Erbil to meet Masoud Barzani and discuss the formation of Iraq's new government.

Nouri al-Maliki, head of the State of Law Coalition, arrives in Erbil on Saturday, 22 November 2025, on an official visit and will meet Masoud Barzani.
In a special interview last night, al-Maliki said: “We are always in contact with Masoud Barzani by phone and we talk, but the current situation requires direct dialogue with Erbil.”
He said he would visit Erbil and meet Barzani about forming Iraq's new government.
On the disputes between the Kurdistan Region and the Iraqi government, al-Maliki said: “The problems will not be solved by temporary agreements.”
