Mohammed Samaan Agha: calm is not weakness but the highest form of strength and awareness

On Wednesday, 21 January 2026, after the attack on the headquarters of the Iraqi Turkmen Front's Erbil branch and TEBA media agency, the front's leader Mohammed Samaan Agha sent a message to the leaders of political parties and security officials in the federal and regional governments.
“In difficult circumstances, nothing is as necessary as wisdom and calm. Calm is not a sign of weakness but the highest level of strength and awareness,” he said.
“Words are a trust, and strife is a fire that spares no one once it is lit. So let us be one hand to extinguish the sparks of strife rather than remain spectators. Our Iraq is like a ship: we will all be saved together by protecting one another's safety,” he added.
“Let the weight of reason prevail over emotional outbursts, and let us be a key to good and a lock against evil. May God protect everyone from all harm and preserve for us the blessing of harmony and security; and God is behind all intentions,” the Turkmen Front leader said.
