Writing on his official X account, al-Salihi said the growing number and spread of attacks in the region “is a sign that the danger has taken on a more serious dimension”.
He stressed that an attack on Kirkuk, an oil-rich city home to diverse ethnic communities, is no ordinary incident and described it as a dangerous development.
A site inside Kirkuk was hit by a missile last night. According to the latest information from the city's hospitals, four fighters were killed and about 10 were wounded.
