Hakan Fidan answers TEBA: a Turkmen governor in Kirkuk is a positive development

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan answered a question from TEBA at the Antalya Diplomacy Forum (ADF) 2026.
After his press conference at the forum, TEBA Media Group general manager Mohammed Farid Erbiloglu asked Fidan: “How does Türkiye assess the change in Kirkuk's governorship and the election of a Turkmen governor?”
“This is a very positive development. We are now waiting for the President's approval. We therefore see it as a good and positive development,” Fidan replied.
