Qubad Talabani congratulates the Kirkuk governor
Kirkuk Governorate said Kurdistan Region Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani congratulated the Kirkuk governor and reaffirmed his support for the new administration.

Kirkuk Governor Mohammed Samaan Agha received Kurdistan Regional Government Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani at the governorate headquarters, Kirkuk Governorate said on Thursday, 7 May 2026.
According to the statement, Talabani congratulated the governor on taking office and reaffirmed his support for the Kirkuk administration and its team.
The meeting, attended by First Deputy Governor Rebwar Taha, several members of the Council of Representatives, provincial council members, assistants and advisers, covered the province's services and economy, the administration's efforts to serve all of the city's communities, maintaining security and stability, and consolidating coexistence and peace in Kirkuk.
