Iraqi Turkmen Front leader congratulates Haibat al-Halbousi
The Iraqi Turkmen Front leader congratulated Iraq's Council of Representatives and said the front expects effective and responsible legislation this term that meets the aspirations of Iraqis in general and Turkmen in particular.

Iraqi Turkmen Front leader Mohammed Samaan Agha said on Monday, 29 December 2025: “We congratulate the honourable Council of Representatives of Iraq on convening its first session and on electing Mr Haibat al-Halbousi as speaker for the sixth legislative term.”
“We look forward with great expectation to effective, important and responsible legislation during this term that fulfils the aspirations of the Iraqi people in general and the Turkmen in particular, and that contributes to completing the laws needed to build the state,” he said.
He also congratulated Turkmen MPs on winning the public's trust, expressing hope that the Council of Representatives will live up to the Iraqi people's expectations and support the nation's stability and the protection of state institutions and sovereignty.
